Terms of Service

1. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and the courts of England & Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction. Rod & Reel Studios is a trading brand of a company registered in England & Wales No. 16625487.

2. Scope of service & confirmation

We provide appraisal and valuation services for used devices: condition grading, market value estimation, authenticity checks and pre-sale advice. A service order is formed when you send a request and we confirm the scope and the fixed fee by email. Appraisal findings are independent professional assessments and are not offers to purchase, warranties of saleability or insurance valuations.

3. Payment terms

All fees are quoted and charged in euros (€) per device, per transaction. We do not take payment on this website: after you confirm the quote we issue an invoice, and work starts once payment is settled. Combined services (Full Appraisal) are billed as the flat listed fee. Appraised devices remain your property at all times.

4. Delivery, shipping & risk

Digital reports are delivered to the email address you provide, normally within 2–3 working days of the device or complete submission reaching our studio. If you ship a device to us, you are responsible for its transport until it is signed in at our intake; we recommend tracked, insured shipping and adequate packing. Devices are returned or held as agreed in the order confirmation.

5. Cancellation, changes & refunds

You may cancel free of charge any time before the device reaches intake or before submitted-data work has started; if work has started, we charge only the proportion performed and refund the remainder to your original payment method within 10 working days. If a service cannot be completed for a device we cannot accept (for example a model outside our coverage), any fee already paid is refunded in full. If you disagree with a report, tell us within 14 days and we will re-examine and correct it if anything was mis-assessed; where a correction changes the service outcome, the affected fee is refunded.

6. Limitation of liability

Our reports are professional opinions based on the condition and information available at appraisal time. We are not liable for market movements after the valuation date, for decisions taken solely on the basis of an estimated value range, or for indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability for any order is limited to the fees paid for that order. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

7. Complaints & disputes

Complaints go first to support@rodandreelstudios.com with your submission reference; we acknowledge within 5 working days and aim to resolve within 30 days. If we cannot agree, the courts of England & Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction, without preventing consumers from using their mandatory local consumer protections.
